Job Description

 I'm hiring on behalf of my company, Huntly, we're hiring for a System Engineer position, for one of our clients.
Technologies:
  Python, Linux, Git, MySQL
Salary Range:
  US$65,000 - US$75,000 annual
Requirements:
  Must-Haves:
      1. Must have 4 years programming experience in at least one scripting language, ideally  Bash, Perl or Python
      2. Must have very good Linux and network knowledge, familiar with command line handling
      3. Must be able to work hybridly in Munich, Germany
      4. Must speak German on at least B2 level and English on at least C1 level

  2. Other Requirements:

      2. Very good Linux and network knowledge,  familiar with command line handling
      3. Experience with Icinga, Puppet, Hiera, Linux KVM, Git, Facter, Ansible or MySQL desirable
      4. Fully versed in the use of monitoring, switches, routers, firewalls and loadbalancers 
      5. Several years of experience in similar environments
Responsibilities:
      1. Plan, design and maintain our intercontinental network in six locations worldwide 
      2. Optimize our datacenter packet switching infrastructure for reliability, low latency and throughput
      3. Keep our network safe with OpenBSD firewalls and connect to customers over leased lines and VPN
      4. Extend and develop automated network configuration tools using 100% open source software (e.g. ansible, python
      5. Assist the team by taking part in a rotating on-call system (about one week in five, fully compensated)
      6. Help with maintaining our ~600 Linux servers (Debian 12, CentOS 8)
      7. Broaden your skills by learning technologies like Kubernetes and Puppet
